Norman E. Goth, P.E.


Norman Goth co-founded Smith-Goth Engineers, Inc. in 1996 and now serves as President.  Norman began his career in Springfield, MO as a project engineer for Hood-Rich, Inc. after receiving a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas – Lawrence in 1977.  After 16 years with Hood-Rich, Inc., he joined Smith and Associates where he practiced as a project engineer for 3 more years before joining David Smith as a partner and principal to form Smith-Goth Engineers, Inc.  As President, he actively participates in all management functions and helps set corporate directions, as well as, being Project Principal on many projects.  Norman also assists in setting and directing quality control, engineering standards, project management, and in-house training for the engineering staff.  He is experienced in the preparation of specifications, and construction documents for all types of projects.  Norman’s engineering career emphasis has been on banks, hotels, condominiums, churches, support facilities, multi-location retail stores and distribution centers, schools, and college projects.

Norman is an active member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).
